It's winter in the mountains again. This morning was frigid as the sun rose, and lit the trees that were frosted and draped with icicles. It was beautiful.
By noon the warm sun melted the snow off roads and sidewalks, so I could get outside and take a walk in the woods. It helps that we are prepared for snow and ice. Snowplows worked late into the night to keep our roads passable.
Unfortunately winter also means people get stuck in cars on icy highways, or homes without electricity from winter storms. Please be careful out there and take care of one another.
I thought I'd share this image, since Book 2 is set in the winter in Colorado, and this scene would fit in perfectly.
