![]() Can you imagine what was going through someone’s mind when they decided to make this plaque and install it on the corner of their building in 1897? Was it a frustrated lover who had been expecting a proposal from that handsome miner who’d been giving her the eye during the last church social? Maybe it was the lonely housewife hoping for some excitement when the stagecoach arrived. Or was it the bank robber who talked himself out of the job at the last minute because of that attractive lady he’d noticed at the church social, so he didn’t rob the bank and he was hit by a stagecoach on his way home? Wait, no, that would be something, not nothing! Feel free to send me your thoughts on the who, what, why of this plaque. Or, tell me where this photo was taken to be eligible for a free copy of The Netahs, Into the Wilderness.
