It’s the end of the school year and spring is in the air. As you plan your celebrations, don’t forget that May 1 is School Principals’ Day, followed on the 2nd by Teacher Appreciation Day. A kind word of thanks is free. Once you’re riding high on that kindness train, have some fun with Different Colored Shoes Day (3rd), which is also Bike to School Day, a double whammy. There are so many inane, serious, ridiculous National Days of something, and if you want a good laugh, check it out at https://nationaldaycalendar.com/may/. I prefer the ridiculous, like combining a Mother’s Day (14th) with a Dancing Like a Chicken Day party (same day). Who’s in?

 I was a happy writer, until this happened: I discovered two pair of holey socks in a row. Fast forward to today when I waded through my emails and found one from my favorite ski sock maker, Smartwool. I watched their clever video https://www.smartwool.com/second-cut/recycle.html about how they will take my holey socks and make them into something new...and warm!
